1999–2000 Ohio Motor Vehicle Registrations By County

Note: Registrations include passenger car, motorcycle, house vehicle, motor home, noncommercial, noncommercial trailer, farm truck, commercial, bus and moped

Source: Ohio Department of Public Safety, Bureau of Motor Vehicles

The US Transportation Department issued vehicle-ratings covering 43 vehicles from the 2001 model year. The vehicles included light passenger cars, SUVs and vans. The ratings were based on a statistical formula that includes measuring the height of a vehicle’s center of gravity and its width from wheel to wheel. Five stars means a vehicle has a rollover risk of less than 10%; four stars, between 10–20%; three stars, between 20–30%; two stars, between 30–40%; and one star, greater than 40%. Only one got five stars–the four-door Honda Accord. The Chevrolet Blazer four-door 4X2 model and the GMC Jimmy/Envoy four-door 4X2 model both got one star. The Ford Explorer rated two stars.
